SPRING LUNCHEON
Thursday, May 6th
The annual Spring Luncheon will be held Thursday, May 6th at
the Brown Center, Earle Wright Room.
The cost of the luncheon is $8.00.
We will have special music by the Cowley
Singers, Golden Tiger highlights, and much more!! It is an excellent time to
visit with other Golden Tiger participants and guests.
Come join us for food,
fun and fellowship!!
WALK COWLEY
EXERCISE PROGRAM
February 1 - April 30
This semester the Golden Tigers will have a “Walk Cowley” exercise program. It is open to everyone and we hope you will want to participate. The program will run for three months – February, March & April.
An organization meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 2nd at 1:00 p.m. in Webb-Brown Academic Center – Room 205. The record sheets, exercise information and other details will be available at that time. Shirts are also available to purchase for $6.00.
Sign up at enrollment or come to the organizational meeting and sign up then!!!
SPRING ENROLLMENT
Tuesday, January 26th
Enrollment for the Spring Semester will be held on Tuesday, January 26th from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Brown Center, Earle Wright Room. You may enroll by phone or mail after January 26th.
Fees for classes and trips are paid at enrollment. There is a $5.00 registration fee and $2.00 per class fee. Some classes have additional costs or supplies needed.
Here are some guidelines for enrollment:
- Complete
the enrollment form. Be sure to include your Cowley ID number, date
of birth, middle name.
- Census
information on the enrollment form must be completed this semester.
- Put
your label or write your name on all class and trip sign up sheets.
- Fill
out the “Consent & Release Form” if participating in
any trips.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION
Winter Weather – Please check the Cowley website or listen to local radio stations if the weather is bad during the next few months. You can also call the Golden Tiger Office (441-5286) and listen to the telephone message.
Computer Classes – Larry Schwintz is back and ready to teach this semester. If you were enrolled in the “Beyond the Basics” or “Creating a Photo Story” class last semester, you can sign up this spring at no charge. Please put “NC” on the enrollment form.
Classes & Trips – Plans have not been finalized for all the classes and trips. Be sure to check for any changes at enrollment. A Taste of American History will be offered again next Fall.
Class Attendance – Class attendance is not required; however, instructors work hard to prepare for these classes. Please let your instructor know if you cannot attend a class session.
Sign Up Sheets – Please be sure to put your name
on the sign up sheets for classes and trips. This is
the only way to determine if space is available during enrollment. If
your name is not on the sign up sheet and the class is actually full,
your name will be put on the waiting list.
New England/Canada Cruise – This spring we will have several meetings to help plan shore excursions and get ready for our trip. A letter will be sent later this month about upcoming meetings. The next payment for the cruise is due February 15th. Please make checks to Walnut Valley Travel and send directly to WVT or leave at the Golden Tiger Office.
Senior Gold Card – Be sure to stop by the Information Desk
to get your Senior Gold Card. This card is good for all Cowley County
citizens,
65 and over, to attend Cowley College sporting events and school related
performances in the Robert Brown Theatre at no charge.
