Fall 2008 Educational Trips
Thursday, September 25th – Wichita, KS
This fall we will be attending the Senior Expo in Wichita. This is a
great way to explore Botanica, the Wichita Art Museum, Exploration
Place and old Cowtown. (Note: The Body Exhibit will still be on display
at Exploration Place.) You can find valuable information from over
130 exhibitors. Shuttle busses are available throughout the day and
lunch will be served at several locations. We will depart at 8:00 a.m.
and return by 5:00 p.m. Cost - $15 plus lunch.
Thursday, October 16th – Abilene
The trip to Abilene will include a special exhibit featuring the U. S.
Presidents – from George Washington to George Bush. The Presidential
Treasures exhibit tells their stories through the furniture they used,
the clothing they wore, the hobbies they pursued, etc. We will also
take the Trolley Tour, visit the Fashion Museum or Greyhound Hall of
Fame, the Lebold Mansion and have lunch at Mr. K’s Farmhouse.
The bus will depart at 7:00 a.m. and return by 9:00 p.m. Cost - $40
plus supper.
Thursday, November 6th – Wichita, KS
This fall we will travel to Wichita to attend the evening performance
of “Fiddler on the Roof” at the Crown Uptown Theater. We
will enjoy a wonderful buffet dinner at the theater before the show.
We will depart Ireland Hall at 4:30 p.m. and return around 10:00 p.m.
Cost is $40.
Thursday, December 4th – Yoder & Great Bend
This Holiday Season we will travel to Yoder for shopping and lunch at
the Carriage House. Then we will head to Great Bend to see the Trail
of Lights displays. The tour will also include a Holiday Tree Display
and Santas Around the World. We will depart at 7:30 a.m. and
return around 10:30 p.m. Lunch at the Carriage House is included in
the trip cost of $40. Supper will be on your own.
Refund Policy
Refunds for trips are given only for family emergency, illness or death in family.
We greatly appreciate a substitute in your place if at allnecessary.
