IMPACT Services
Academic Advising
Your IMPACT advisor will assist
you by helping to select the classes that will best fit your academic
major. Your advisor will also help monitor your academic progress
in preparation for graduation.
IMPACT Courses
A variety of classes in math and English are offered
to IMPACT students each semester. The classes are limited to 12
students per class, and tuition is free for IMPACT
students. Also, one-on-one intensive instruction is available to
students who would like direct assistance from one of our math
or English specialists.
Tutoring
Free one-on-one or small group peer tutoring
is available for most general education courses. Professional tutoring
is also available.
Career Exploration & Previews
Your IMPACT advisor
will assist you in making informed career choices and expanding
your options when selecting a college major or career path. The
IMPACT Program also offers you the opportunity to view the daily
routine of a particular career through a career preview.
Supplemental Grant Aid
Supplemental Grant Aid will
help students offset college costs. This aid is available to IMPACT
students who currently receive the pell grant. (Call or stop by
the IMPACT office for more information.)
Laptop and Calculator Checkout
The IMPACT Program
has laptops, graphing calculators and grammar
pocket style manuals available for students to check out.
Transfer Visits
The IMPACT Program arranges several
transfer visits each semester, so students will have the opportunity
to make informed decisions about transfering to a four-year college.
Cultural Trips
Many exciting cultural trips are offered
each semester. The events are free to IMPACT students and include
transportation, meals, and tickets required for the event. In addition,
tickets are made available to many on campus events. |
