Endowment Scholarships

The Endowment Association offers a variety of scholarships with differing requirements for eligibility based upon donor restrictions. Unless otherwise noted, a minimum of a 2.5 GPA is required.

Warren Andreas Scholarship -

American Legion Auxiliary Unit #18 Scholarship - Freshman or sophomore woman who is a daughter, sister, or wife of a veteran. Recipient must be a Cowley County resident demonstrating financial need. Renewable for second year with a minimum 3.0 GPA and completion of at least 26 hours.

Ark City Clinic Scholarship -

Ark City Arts Council Scholarship - Granted to an Art major.

Ark City Tumbleweeds Scholarship - Recipient must be a full-time student who has at least a 2.0 high school GPA and maintains at least a 2.0 GPA at Cowley. Awarded to a male or female student enrolled in Industrial Technology or Automotive Technology classes.

Barkley Scholarship -

Linda Barnes Memorial Scholarship - Preference given to a Business Management major.

Beta Sigma Phi City Council / Mary Brannan Scholarship - Arkansas City student majoring in nursing who maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA. Priority will be given to Beta Sigma Phi family members.

Dorothy M. Bishop Memorial Music Scholarship - Presented to a Cowley music student in need of financial assistance. Priority will be given to a piano or organ musician.

Ray Blass Scholarship - Awarded to an Agriculture major.

Boeing/Cowley Match Scholarship -

Boyer Educational Trust Fund Scholarship - Graduate of a Sumner County High School. Awarded to a student who is likely to stay and work in the Sumner County area after graduation and those likely to promote the advancement of agriculture in Kansas. Agriculture major given priority however, other majors may be considered.

Mildred F. Carpenter - Marie Vickers Memorial Scholarship - Recipient shall be a full-time student at Cowley and shall NOT participate in any varsity athletic programs offered at Cowley County Community College.

Richard Colquhoun Golf Scholarship - $250.00 per semester

Commercial Federal Bank Scholarship -

Corner Bank Scholarship -

Henrietta Courtright Scholarship - Awarded based on financial need.

Francis Cox Scholarship - Recipient must show extreme financial need. Awarded to students who might not otherwise be able to afford the rising costs of a college education.

Curt L. Cranford Scholarship - Scholarship is intended to encourage first and second year students, who could not otherwise afford to do so, to pursue a four year college or university degree by utilizing Cowley College as a first step in that process. Preference will be given to graduates of Cowley County high schools. Separate application can be obtained in the Endowment Office or Admissions Office.

Kirke W. Dale Memorial Scholarship Fund - Recipient must be a full time student at Cowley and priority may be given to Chautauqua County residents.

Harry and Edith Darby Foundation Memorial - Awarded based on financial need.

Edith Joyce Davis Memorial Scholarship - Awarded to a student pursuing a college degree and focused on lifetime fitness and living a healthy, well-rounded life. Recipient must have proven leadership abilities.

Ruth David Scholarship -

J. P. Dewell Family Scholarship - $25.00 per semester.

John DeVore Scholarship - Awarded to an Agriculture major.

Stephen and Janet English Scholarship -

E. A. Funk Memorial Scholarship - Awarded based on financial need with education majors given priority.

Gordon-Piatt Scholarship - A full-time student who maintains at least a 3.0 grade point average. Preference will be given to students majoring in Business, Engineering, or Industrial Technology.

Jerre L. Gottlob Memorial Scholarship - Preference will be given to students majoring in education.

Brian Groves Memorial Scholarship - Awarded to a Men's Golf athlete.

Delbert W. Harader Memorial Scholarship - Awarded to a full time student who maintains a 3.0 GPA.

Herrin Family Scholarship -

Hocker Scholarship - Awarded to a Men's Baseball athlete.

Mary Hobart-Hutchinson Scholarship - Awarded to a woman who exhibits leadership potential and maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Paul and Dorothy Johnson Scholarship -

Kansas Grain & Feed Dealers Association Scholarship - Recipient must be an agriculture major who maintains a minimum 2.5 GPA.

John and Alvie Kappler Scholarship -

Jim Kelly Memorial Scholarship -

Charles Kerr Scholarship -

C. F. Knedler Memorial Scholarship - Awarded to a Cowley County resident who is an Industrial Technology student.

Robert E. Lawson Memorial Scholarship - Awarded to a non-athlete based on financial need.

Clay and Betty Lemert Scholarship - Recipient must be a full-time student who exemplifies the highest ideals of leadership, teamwork, and citizenship in academic and extracurricular activities. Priority will be given to student athletes, with preference given to men’s and women’s basketball. Minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.

Jean Lough Memorial Scholarship -

Roma Marrs Memorial Scholarship - Awarded based on financial need.

Patrick J. McAtee Scholarship - Recipient must be a full-time student who maintains at least a 2.0 grade point average. Priority consideration will be given to theatre students with secondary consideration being given to education majors.

Fostine Moncrief Memorial Scholarship - Awarded to a music student.

Claude and Helen Morrow Memorial Scholarship - Awarded to a student pursuing a career in Industrial Technology.

Craig Newman Memorial Scholarship -

Earl Newman Golf Scholarship - Awarded to a full-time student who maintains at least a 3.0 GPA and is a member of the Cowley Golf team.

Gertrude T. Newman Memorial Scholarship - Award will be based on financial need.

Jean Newman Scholarship - Award will be based upon financial need and awarded to a full-time student who maintains at least a 3.0 GPA.

JoAnn Scott Newman Scholarship -

Elizabeth Northcutt Scholarship -

Office Education Scholarship - Scholarship is designated for Office Technology majors who maintain a 2.8 GPA or better. Recipient must be a female resident of Cowley County.

Paton Wholesale and Vending Scholarship -

John Robertson Business Scholarship - Awarded to a Business major who maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Rodeo Key Club Scholarship - Awarded to a graduate of a Cowley County high school with priority consideration given to graduates of Ark City High School. Preference may be given to a former Rodeo Key Club member, child, or grandchild of a member.

Rotary Club of Ark City Scholarship - Students majoring in music will be given first preference however, financial need is a major requirement.

Rotary/Newt and Mary Ellen Smith -

Bedi N. Sehsuvaroglu Scholarship - Preference will be given to students majoring in Engineering or a Science related field, however, all other majors will be considered.

Jack Selan Memorial Scholarship - Awarded to an education major.

Bud and Lauretta Shelton Scholarship -

Dale and Isabel Smith Scholarship -

Deborah B. Smith Memorial Scholarship - Awarded based on financial need to a full-time student who maintains a 3.0 GPA. Preference may be given to Accounting, Business, or Math majors.

Newt and Mary Ellen Smith Scholarship -

W. B. Spear Memorial Scholarship - $750.00 per semester.

Daniel C. Stark Memorial Scholarship - Awarded to a student majoring in Chemistry.

Lawrence and Martha Stover Scholarship -

The Storbeck Family Scholarship - Recipient shall be a full-time student who is age 40 or younger and maintains a 3.0 GPA. Student should serve as an inspiration to others and exemplify the highest ideals of leadership, citizenship, and community service.

George Sybrant Memorial Scholarship - Awarded based on financial need to a full-time student who maintains a 2.5 GPA.

TNT Scholarship - Awarded to a Non-traditional student.

Betty Todd Memorial Scholarship - Granted to a full-time student who maintains a 2.5 GPA and is majoring in Business Administration.

Tredway Scholarship - Awarded to a student majoring in Accounting.

August and Gene Trollman Memorial Scholarship - Awarded to a music student

Dick and Marcia Turner Memorial Scholarship -

Wayne and Nila Tyler Memorial Scholarship - Priority will be given to Industrial Technology students.

Union State Bank Scholarship -

United Agency Scholarship -

Caroline Newman Warren Scholarship - Awarded to a Women's Tennis athlete.

Barbara Weston Pre-Nursing Memorial Scholarship - Recipient will be a full-time student majoring in Nursing. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required and preference will be given to residents of Cowley County

Bob and Patricia White Scholarship - Awarded to a student majoring in Accounting.

Flossie E. White Memorial Scholarship - Scholarship is based on financial need. Recipient must be a graduate of South Haven High School.

Bea Wright Scholarship -

Captola Yust Scholarship -

Zeller Motor Company Scholarship - Recipient shall be a full-time student majoring in Automotive Technology.
