When do classes start? |
 |
Cowley College begins teaching classes in the middle of March
and will continue teaching them through October.

What is the enrollment process? |
 |
Participants must present a valid driver's license with motorcycle
endorsement during enrollment. If you are not a current or previous
Cowley College student, the Admissions Application must be completed.

Do I receive college credit for this course? |
|
This is a non-credit class. |
|
|
|
Can I attend the class if I am less than 18 years of age? |
|
Participants must be a competent, licensed motorcycle operator
with one year riding experience (recommended minimum), or have
completed a Basic Rider Course and have three months riding experience.
If under the age of 18, you must have your parent or guarding present
to sign the waiver form prior to the first day of class. |

Can I bring my own helmet? |
|
Yes, participants are encouraged to bring a DOT approved helmet.
Loaner helmets are available if students do not own a helmet for
training. |

Can I use my own motorcycle for the class? |
|
Participants will operate their own street-safe motorcycle.
Motorcycle must meet all requirements for street operation. Proper
registration & license for motorcycle. A safety inspection
(TCLOCS) will be conducted by the course instructors. Proof of
insurance must presented. Written permission from the owner if
borrowed is needed for use in the course and the proof of insurance. |

What do I need to bring for class? |
|
Riding gear is required for all participants. This includes
DOT approved helmet, long sleeve shirt or jacket, long pants, full
fingered gloves, sturdy over the ankle shoes, and eye protection
are required. Rain gear is optional. We do ride if it rains. |

|
May I bring a passenger to ride with me for training? |
|
Passengers are allowed to participate with rider at no additional
cost. |
