Business, Computer, Information Technology Department Advisory Committee Business, Computer and Information Technology Advisory Committees serve as links between the school and the community to provide instructors with guidance on business, industry, and community needs, desired student competencies, and technology changes in each of the program areas. Members review annually and validate program competencies and make appropriate recommendations. An advisory committee is appointed by each occupational program within the Business, Computer and Information Technology Department. The goals, objectives, and activities of an advisory committee is to assist with job opportunities, advise on short and long range plans, evaluate facilities and program equipment, analyze the course content, assist with instructional and learning experiences, and assist in promoting education. Each advisory committee meets once each semester. For more information or to inquire about service on one of the advisory committees, contact Marvis Gaddie. Department Meetings: The Business, Computer and Information Technology Department hold monthly meetings to discuss college issues, scheduling, policies and procedures, and department business.
