Admissions Process -
Welding Program

Post-Secondary Admissions Process
For new post-secondary students, an admissions application for Cowley County Community College must be completed.  It is available at any Cowley campus or by calling (800) 593-2222 (or from the 316 area code, use this toll-free number: 554-2700).  This can also be completed online at the main college website.  Official transcript copies must be sent to Cowley from all colleges attended, and must include high school transcripts or GED certificate.  Official copies should be sent to our Registrar at 125 South Second, Arkansas City, Kansas 67005.

Enroll in classes through the admissions office or by contacting the Welding instructors:

Selective Secondary Admissions Process
Admission for secondary students is a selective process as space is limited.  To be considered for acceptance, prospective students must work along with his/her high school counselor to complete the appropriate application materials.

During the semester when both the Industrial Math and Technical Math courses are offered, all students will be required to take the WorkKeys Applied Mathematics Assessment.  This test will be given at the beginning and end of the semester to measure gains.  Visit http://www.act.org/workkeys/assess/math/index.html to learn more about this particular assessment and for sample work items.
