Education—Education & Training High School Pathway

Many Kansas high schools have adopted the Education & Training Pathway. Students completing the required course work approved by the KSDE Pathway (3 high school credits) may apply to Cowley College to receive retro credit for EDU6210 Foundations of Education (3 college credits) and meet the pre-requisite for enrollment into EDU6211 Introduction to Teaching and EDU6212 Introduction to Teaching Field Experience.

Students must meet the following requirements:

  • Earn a C or better in the approved high school course work
  • Earn a B or better in EDU6211 & EDU6212 Introduction to Teaching courses
  • Complete 12 Cowley College credit hours toward the Associate of Arts or Science Degree
  • Complete the appropriate Cowley College articulation application
  • Pay appropriate fees for 3 college credits (tuition is waived for the retro credit hours for Foundations of Ed)
