How Do I Turn in Assignments?

Assignment Instructions

Each course is unique in that the Assignment icon may be located on the Homepage of the course or the Calendar.

Note: If you get the message "Error: The filename contains an invalid character", check that there are no invalid characters in the file name. The file name cannot contain any of the following characters:

tabs, line feeds, carriage returns or
: ~ [ ] ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) + ` } } | \ < > , ? / ; ' "

For detailed instructions on turning in an assignment, read the following:

1. Select the Assignment Icon (Usually located on the Homepage or behind another link (sometimes Calendar).

2. Select the Title of the Assignment (available assignments are a link).

3. Read the instructions area to determine your assignment. First the student files have to be uploaded to the WebCT server then to the course. Begin by clicking on the Upload button to upload the files to the WebCT Server.

4. Select the Browse button to locate the files on your A:\ or C:\ drive. Select the file and select the Open button. Then select the Upload button again to upload another file to the server. Repeat this step for every file you are uploading (or turning in).

5. Select the file or files by clicking in the box next to the filename that you want to upload to your course.

6. Select the Submit Assignment button.

7. Select the OK button to confirm.

8. You should now see the words "You Assignment has been successfully submitted".
