q When should I log into my course? back to top
a You may NOT log into any of your online courses until the first day of the semester.
On January 17
, 2007, shortly after 10:00 a.m., you will use your WebCT ID and password to access your online courses.
This is when you should log in and get started.  All courses whether 16-week or 8-week online courses will begin on the same date as traditional classes.  If you are in a 6-week internet computer class, check the course schedule for starting date.  DO NOT PROCRASTINATE!
q Where do I get my books? back to top
a Books and access codes for your online course(s) may be purchased from the Cowley Bookstore in Arkansas City or at the Southside Bookstore in Wichita.
The Cowley Bookstore is set up to mail your books and access codes to you and accept your credit card.  Get your books early so you will be ready to go.
q Is there an orientation I can attend to have some of my questions answered? back to top
a

We offer several help sessions prior to the beginning of the semester to help you get started or answer any of your questions.  If you are new to online learning, it is highly recommended you attend one of these help sessions.
Click here to access the Online Orientation schedule and description. Students may also wish to access the WebCT Tutorial to get comfortable with the format of the course.
You may enroll for Online Orientation through your advisor or Campus Connect
Note: You are not required to attend if you sign up, however please sign up if you plan on attending.

q What is an access code? back to top
a Some of our courses require an access code to be able to access the course materials online.
These are like buying a study guide online from the publisher.  This special software has allowed our instructor to make changes to the content from the publisher to make it their own course.
MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY & PRINCIPLES OF NUTRITION are the only classes that REQUIRES AN ACCESS CODE. FOR THE REST OF THE ONLINE COURSES, YOU CAN GET LOGGED ON WITHOUT IT.
If you are uncertain, check with the bookstore or e-mail your instructor or watkins@cowley.edu
q When should I contact my instructor? back to top
a You should contact your instructor a week or two before the semester starts.
You will find
instructor contact information on the Cowley web site.  Here you will find phone numbers and e-mail addresses of the instructors.
Phone or e-mail your instructor and introduce yourself. This will be the start of your course because your instructors want to get to know you.
If you enroll after the semester starts, contact your instructor immediately and log into your course right away.
Your instructor is looking forward to getting to know you.
q Can I start my course(s) before the first day of class? back to top
