is to honor, promote, and recognize the
alumni and friends who:
- Have brought recognition and pride to the college community through their achievements in their chosen profession or in service to their community.
- Have made unusual contributions to the college,
demonstrating outstanding leadership and promoting a positive collegiate atmosphere.

Dr. Ruth David named Outstanding Tiger Alumnus
Working
on problems that are important to our nation’s future, Dr.
Ruth David, President and Chief Executive Officer of Analytic Services,
Inc, has done great things as a national security professional.
The 1973 graduate of Cowley College was recently recognized for her contributions
to society by being named the school’s Outstanding Tiger Alumnus for 2012.
Striving to attain academic success, after receiving an associate’s degree
from Cowley College in 1973, Dr. David went on to receive a bachelor of science
degree in electrical engineering from Wichita State University in 1975, a master
of science degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University in 1976,
and a doctorate in electrical engineering from Stanford University in 1981. read

year's award
We encourage you to submit a nomination for the Outstanding Tiger Alumni Award.
Nominations will be collected throughout the year. Each year in March, a committee
chooses one or more alumni to receive the Outstanding Tiger Alumni Award. Individuals
from any class will be considered. Nominees not selected may be reconsidered
the following year.
