Why You Give

The gifts you give to Cowley College represent a reflection of who you are; what drives you; what makes you happy; what makes you tick; what evokes your passions.

Backing up your commitments. Most of you know the importance of education to every individual, to your community and for our country. Many of you back up your commitment to education with your hard-earned money.

Expressing your appreciation. Many of you appreciate Cowley College because we helped you achieve your career goals.
Some of you appreciate that your children and grandchildren can get an affordable education close to home.
Some of you appreciate us because you know that we give so much to students, friends, and the communities we serve. You want to “give back” to say “thank you.”

Some of you have achieved financial worth that exceeds your needs and simply want to share your fortune so others can benefit from the educational, cultural, and entertainment services we offer. Be proud of your generosity. Promote your philanthropic gifts so your contributions will be acknowledged for many years to come.

Gaining personal enjoyment. If you love to help others and make a difference in their lives, helping them get an education is the most life-changing gift you can give.

Giving so you can be part of the excitement. Many of you donate to the college so you can continue to enjoy exciting sporting events, invigorating cultural performances, and simply-fun events.

Realizing financial benefits. You can deduct your contributions to Cowley College on your yearly income tax return, and your gifts to Cowley College, given during your lifetime or after, reduce the amount of estate tax and probate costs that must be paid.
