If you
love to perform...
For the student interested in Studio training dance or Musical
Theatre Dance we have classes available. Whether you are an experienced
dancer or just beginning, we have classes available for you.
Our classes enable you to improve your technique in Tap, Jazz,
Ballet and Lyrical. We have
a winter show that sells out the 700 seat Brown
Center Theatre two nights in a row, followed by a smaller showcase
in the spring. Dance classes are held in the Rehearsal Hall (BC203)
in the Brown Center. This a newly renovated room with
a beautiful wood floor and mirrors; every dancer's dream.
Academic Highlights
Our studio classes are designed to provide a solid introduction
or to further enhance your technical dance skills. Each class
offered easily transfers to four year colleges and universities.
This gives student's maximum amount of flexibility in furthering
their college education.

About Jennifer Blatchford
Jennifer has been dancing since the age of three. She was raised
taking classes in her mother’s dance studio, which is still
thriving today, with over 200 students. After going to Cowley College
and dancing under the direction of Lana Sleeper she decided that
teaching dance was her calling. Jennifer is currently the
lead choreographer and instructor at her mother’s studio.
In addition, she also teaches dance classes at Cowley, choreographs
for the main stage musical and the CC Singers show choir.
Jennifer has been recognized for her choreography numerous times winning many
awards. Some of Jennifer’s awards include Best Technique, Best Precision
and Best Choreography at the regional and National level.
This past summer Jennifer led a group of girls to a National Championship. A
group of her senior girls competed directly against 60 other routines in Branson,
Missouri and took home the National Championship along with a 1st place finish
and several other groups placing in the top ten.
Jennifer has also received the KCACTF (Kennedy Center American College
Theatre Festival) Meritorious Achievement Award I for Choreography for Cowley
College’s 2007 production of “Crazy For You.”
