Seniors in High School that are considering enrolling at Cowley
College are encouraged to compete for a Mass Communication scholarship.
Students are encouraged to bring past projects or demonstrations of their work and schedule a 15 minute session to showcase their skills
in whichever area they choose. The
student will be judged on production quality, creativity, originality
and overall organization of the project.

The Mass Communication Scholarship covers your books and tuition
for 2 years if you are a mass communications major. Our
credits transfer to all 4-year institutions, and we have a broadcasting
facility where you can hone your skills in radio and television
before moving to a 4-year university or an entry-level broadcasting
position.

Choose Cowley College
Your productions can be featured on local radio, television and
the web as Cowley offers incredible opportunities. A couple of
classes are offered in the broadcasting area, all of which include
radio and television work.
Also, internship opportunities are available in the area of radio
working in cooperation with the local radio stations.

Meet Adam Borth
Director of Communication

This is Adam Borth’s fourth year teaching at Cowley
College. He has worked at several radio stations in Kansas and Oklahoma.
His areas of broadcasting expertise stretch from production of
commercials to sports broadcasting. He has won several awards for
his abilities as a play-by-play sports broadcaster.
Adam is a graduate of Northwestern Oklahoma State University, where
he received a Bachelor of Science degree in mass communication,
and a Masters of education degree.
