A Cowley All-Star
Junior Spivey, who played for Dave Burroughs and
the Tiger baseball team during the 1995 and 1996 seasons, was selected
to the 2002 National League All-Star Team from the Arizona Diamondbacks.
This is the cap and jersey Spivey wore during Major League Baseball's 73rd All-Star
Game on July 9 at Miller Park in Milwaukee, Wis. The cap was signed by members
of the National League All-Star Team. Spivey sent the mementos to Burroughs.
Spivey, in his first full season in the Majors, was a reserve second baseman
for the NL All-Stars. The game ended in a 7-7 tie after 11 innings. Spivey was
the starting second baseman this season for the defending World Series Champion
Diamondbacks.
