Open Seats on Board of Trustees

Three men, including two incumbents, have filed for the three open slots on the college’s Board of Trustees. Incumbents Lee Gregg Jr. of Arkansas City and Ron Godsey of Winfield are seeking re-election to the Board, while Arkansas City native Mark Paton also is seeking a four-year term. Board member Virgil Watson Jr. is not seeking another term on the Board. Other Board members are Donna Avery of Arkansas City, Albert Bacastow Jr. of Arkansas City, and LaDonna Lanning of Winfield.

Gregg is a certified public accountant and certified financial planner with Gregg and Simmons Chartered in Arkansas City. Godsey is a staff accountant at William Newton Memorial Hospital in Winfield. Paton owns a wholesale vending business in Arkansas City. Paton has served on the City Commission of Arkansas City and the Strother Field Commission. The new Board members will be sworn in at the July 21 meeting.
