Toga Royalty


Andrew “Ace” Walker and Julie Cleveland were crowned King and Queen during the college’s annual Homecoming festivities Feb. 1. Walker, a sophomore from Prague, Okla., is a computer graphic arts major and the son of Walter and Brenda Christensen. He is a starting pitcher for the Tiger baseball team and is transferring to the University of Alabama after this spring.

Cleveland, a sophomore from Arkansas City, is a liberal arts major and the daughter of Rick Cleveland and Helen Thilsted. She is president of the Student Government Association, is involved in drama, and plans to transfer to Kansas State University to major in child psychology.

Other Queen candidates were Melissa Bean, a sophomore from Wellington; Sarah Graves, a sophomore from Mulvane; Trisha Hastings, a sophomore from Wellington; and Casey Kinzie, a sophomore from Arkansas City. Other King candidates were Collin Peck, a sophomore from Clearwater; Kevin McDougal, a sophomore from Kearney, Mo.; Dean Clower, a sophomore from Broken Arrow, Okla.; and Josh Bowker, a sophomore from Arkansas City. The Homecoming theme was Toga.
