How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying” was
the fall musical, and was held Oct. 21-23 in the Robert Brown Theatre
inside the Brown Center for Arts, Sciences and Technology.
The original musical opened on Oct. 14, 1961, at the 46th Street Theatre in New
York City, where it ran for more than three years, 1,417 performances, closing
in March 1965.
The original show garnered many favorable reviews and won seven Tony awards.
It also won the 1962 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and was made into a film in 1967
with Rudy Vallee. The musical was revived in 1995 with Matthew Broderick, who
won a Tony for his role of Finch.
