Project Lifesavers

From left, Jimmy Shelite, Social Science Instructor Cathy Hendricks and Shonda Kelley pack bags of candy for Iraq as part of Project Lifesavers.

Jason Parson, a Cowley sophomore and member of the U.S. Army National Guard, formally requested that Lifesavers and ink pens be sent. Hendricks, one of Parson’s former instructors, was determined to fulfill his request.

More than 100 pounds of candy, 150 ink pens, and more than 150 letters were sent to the 443rd Transportation Division.
