Fall semester enrollment on the college’s
main campus in Arkansas City saw a 5-percent increase over the same
period a year ago, according to figures released by the Registrar.
Enrollment on the main campus jumped 52 full-time students and neared
the 1,200 mark for the first time in school history. Daytime classes
increased by 13 FTE, while evening class enrollment jumped 19 FTE.
Classes by appointment increased by 20 FTE on the main campus. The
college’s online enrollment continues to see large increases.
This fall’s online FTE is 195, up 29 percent from fall 2003.
Cowley’s online enrollment has grown a whopping 427 percent in
four years. Enrollment at the college’s Southside Education Center
in Wichita was down 23 FTE or less than 2 percent. Overall full-time
enrollment is down 21, which is less than 1 percent.
