Golf Team
The Cowley golf team is currently in sixth place
in the Jayhawk Conference standings through the first half of the season.
The Tigers had one of their best conference tournament finishes in
several years when they finished fourth at Wichita’s Auburn Hills
Golf Course on Oct. 4.
Thanks to its fourth-place finish, Cowley earned two points in the conference
standings. Cowley also had a school-record set during its fall schedule as freshman
Brett Stone fired a round of 66 at the Central Christian College Fall Invitational
played at McPherson’s Turkey Creek Golf Course on Sept. 27.
The Cowley golf team will resume play in the spring with conference tournaments
at Rolling Meadows Golf Course in Junction City, the Highlands Country Club in
Hutchinson, and Alvamar Golf Course in Lawrence.
