At Cowley College, 100 percent of every dollar
designated for scholarships goes directly to those scholarships. There
is more than $1.8 million in the Cowley College Endowment Association
for scholarships. Cowley scholarships allow students of limited financial
means and extraordinary talent to achieve their dreams. During the
2003-2004 academic year, the Endowment Association provided more than
$297,000 in support to students, the college and the community. The
Tiger Booster Club paid an additional $82,000 in support.
The college serves more than 4,600 students each year on six campuses throughout
south-central Kansas. In its Dec. 8, 2003, edition, Community College Week listed
Cowley as the 33rd-fastest growing public two-year college in the country among
schools with a student enrollment between 2,500 and 4,999 students. In recent
years, the Endowment Association has paid more than $2 million to the college
to support the construction of new buildings and building renovations.
