The Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the EMS
Profession conducted a site visit at Cowley College’s Allied Health Center in Winfield
in June. The committee is recommending continued full accreditation without any
progress reports for Cowley’s EMS Education.
The committee spent three days meeting with Cowley faculty and staff, medical
advisors, stakeholders, as well as current students and graduates of the program.
The committee was impressed with all aspects of Cowley’s EMS Education
and felt it was one of the best in the nation.
“It’s good to have external validation of our program,” Chair,
Department of Allied Health Education/EMS Education Program Director Slade Griffiths
said. “It’s also nice to have people from the outside say this is
a real quality program.”
