2000’s
Alysa (Snyder) Parson, Class of 2005, and her husband, Jason,
live in Wichita, Kan. Alysa is currently taking classes at Emporia State
University. Jason is a sergeant in the U.S. Army. Alysa has fond memories
of her time at Cowley, including when Jason proposed to her at Mr. Cinderfella
2005.
Zach Noland, Class of 2005, lives in Munds Park, AZ. He is employed as a senior graphic designer/art director at the Flagstaff Printing Company.
Brice Harader-Pate, Class of 2005, lives in Tulsa, Okla. Recently graduated from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Okla. with Bachelors of Science in Organismic Biology, and was accepted into College of Public Health at the University of Oklahoma for the PhD in Epidemiology.
Melodie (West) Brunell, Class of 2004, and her husband, Frederick, live in Prairie Village, Kan. The couple have two children, David Michael 3, and Alexa Leigh who was born June 14, 2007.
Gary Jackson, Class of 2002, lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He serves as a substance abuse counselor for Bernalillo County.
Cari Foster, Classs of 2001, lives in Oklahoma City, Okla. She is employed as a billing analyst for Dobson Communications.
1990’s
Melissa (Greer) Buchanan, Class of 1994, and her husband, Brian,
Class of 1995, live in Wellington, Kan. The couple have a son, Greer
1. Melissa is a Business and Computer Technology teacher at Wellington
High School, while Brian is a Physical Education teacher, boys basketball
coach and athletic director at Wellington High School.
Ronda (Melton) Brin, Class of 1993, and her husband, Troy, live in Hopkinsville, KY. The couple have two children, Matthew 10, and Nicholas 10. Ronda is a program assistant for Child and Youth Services, while Troy is a member of the United States Army.
Michelle (Williams) Huffman, Class of 1992, and her husband, Erik, Class of 1999, live in Ponca City, Okla. The couple have a daughter, Alivia 5. Michelle works in the Accounts Payable department for Cameron International. Erik is a CNC Operator for Smith International.
1980’s
Lori (Burns) O’Brien, Class of 1989, lives in Santa Clarita,
California. She is employed as an office manager at Denny and Company
CPA’s. She has two boys, Justin 13, and Jeremy 12. After graduating
from Cowley, she served three years in the US Army’s 25th Infantry
Division at Scholfield Barracks in Hawaii. She has lived in Southern
California since 1993. She has fond memories of living in the dorm
at Cowley and hanging out with friends. She also recalls the wonderful
instruction she received from former Cowley teacher Chris Vollweider.
Jerelyn (McComb) Ramirez, Class of 1988, and her
husband, Paul, live in Rose Hill, Kan. The couple have one child, Faith
Sullivan 29. Jerelyn is a senior customer service engineer for the Xerox
Corporation, while Paul is a post office electronic technician. The couple
enjoy astronomy and Jerelyn holds the office of Treasurer with the Kansas
Astronomical Observers.
1940’s
Juanita (Young) Gangwere, Class of 1942, lives in Kingman, Kan.
Her husband, Robert, passed away in 2003. The couple has three children,
Vance 61, Jesse 55, and Michelle Gumble 42. She was a cheerleader both
years at ACJC. She is a member of a bowling league with her daughter,
Michelle, and grandson, John Webster.
1930’s
Joe Schwartz, Class of 1938, lives in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
He is retired and will turn 90 on Oct. 21, 2008.
Kenneth Engleman, Class of 1934, and his wife, Waneta, who attended ACJC in 1934, live in Bartlesville, Okla. The couple, which celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Dec. 24, 2007, has three children, Joe 67, John 63, and Jan 51. Kenneth worked for Phillips Petroleum Company for 40 years and is a retired civil engineer. Waneta is a retired school teacher that taught at the middle school level for 16 years.
