A
pair of Arkansas City natives were named Cowley College’s Homecoming
king and queen during halftime of the Tiger men’s basketball game
on Feb. 20 at W.S. Scott Auditorium/Dan Kahler Court.
Will Brantley was named king, while Elisha Swope was crowned queen. Brantley
is a Management Information Systems major. He serves as SGA vice-president, is
a member of CC Singers, Concert Choir, Phi Beta Lambda and Act One.
Swope recently switched to a major in Finance. She is vice-president of service
for Phi Theta Kappa and is a Student Ambassador. She is a member of CC Singers,
Concert Choir, and Mu Alpha Theta. She recently represented Cowley in Topeka
as a member of the All-Kansas Academic Team.
Queen finalists were:
Elisha Swope, Katie Bevilacqua, Bethany Schmidt, Rachele Bloyer, and Abby Cantrell.
King finalists were:
Will Brantley, Richard Filkuka, Larry Hill, Joe Lauer, and Alex Skov.
