Art Club to hold three fundraisers

The Art Club at Cowley County Community College may be able to help you cross off a name or two from your holiday gift-giving list.

The club is holding three fundraisers during December.

A silent auction is scheduled from Dec. 8-11 on the lower level of the Brown Center for Arts, Sciences and Technology. Artwork in the auction is by Cowley students, Computer Graphic Arts Instructor Denise Irwin, and Art Instructor Mark Flickinger. Bids will be recorded on pieces of paper next to each piece of art.

The club also is sponsoring a cookie sale. The 12-inch cookies are made by members of the Art Club and will be decorated to look like famous pieces of art. The 12 cookies sell for $25 each and will be on sale Dec. 11 in Galle-Johnson Hall on the main campus.

The club also is holding a drawing for free dinners to the Oxford Old Mill. The drawing for the dinners, worth $65 in gift certificates, will take place Dec. 11 in Galle-Johnson Hall.
