Cowley to host annual Jazz Night

Jazz Bands from Cowley College and Winfield High School will share the stage in a performance at 7:30 p.m. April 25 in the Brown Center Theatre. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.

The concert will feature works by Ellington, Mingus, Young, Pastorius and many other composers in jazz, swing, funk and big band music. Several students from each school will be featured as soloists.

Directors for the evening concert are Cowley’s Gary Gackstatter and Winfield High School’s Keith Anglemyer.
