Norton to be co-presenter at conference

Susan Norton, Cowley College Dean of Corporate Education, will be a co-presenter at the 30th Annual Kansas County Commissioners Association Conference held May 11 in Manhattan.

The title of the conference is “Who’s in charge when a disaster strikes your community?”

Fellow presenters are, Dr. Elizabeth Ablah, WALD Center Program Director, Emergency Preparedness, Kansas University Medical Center in Wichita; Alison Mueller, Washington County Commissioner, and Sedgwick County Commissioner Tim Norton.

Susan Norton’s presentation will be on her doctoral research. The dissertation title is “The New Reality: Participation of elected officials in emergency management training in the state of Kansas post September 11, 2001.”
