Sultz receives $1,000 scholarship from Wichita State

Arkansas City’s Kenny Sultz, a recent graduate of Cowley College, is the recipient of a $1,000 scholarship from Wichita State University’s W. Frank Barton School of Business.

Sultz, who earned an Associate of Arts degree in accounting at Cowley, received a Bob and Pat White Endowed scholarship in Business and a CMD scholarship from WSU.

“He is an outstanding student that is very deserving of this scholarship,” Cowley Department Chair for the Business, Computer and Information Technology Department Beverly Grunder said.

Sultz attended Cowley on an ACES scholarship, and was a member of Phi Beta Lambda and the business organization. He is also a graduate of the college's Upward Bound program.

At WSU, Sultz is pursuing a degree in accounting. His scholarship is renewable as long as he maintains a 3.0 grade point average and completes at least 12 hours toward a business degree each semester.
