Gackstatter’s work on display at several venues

Cowley College director of instrumental music Gary Gackstatter, the 2006 Kansas Governor's Arts winner, recently had his music and art featured in state, national and international venues.

Gackstatter's pen and ink drawings are currently on display in the Gallery of Cottonwood Falls, which features several Kansas artists and photographers.

Gackstatter's compositions for band, orchestra and choir are published by C. Alan Publications and rank as their top selling works. Eight new works have been published this summer and two have been chosen by the J.W. Pepper music catalogue (the largest in the world) as "Editor's Choice".

Gackstatter's works are now being performed world wide, most recently in Russia and Japan and at the Midwest Music Festival in Chicago.
