Cowley College receives four awards
Cowley College was among the winners announced in the 22nd Annual Admissions
Advertising Awards. The latest issue of the Admissions Marketing Report
recognized Cowley for winning four Admissions Advertising Awards. Cowley
won the Silver Award for its fall class schedule, and received Merit Awards
for its admissions events poster, logo/letterhead, and class catalog.
Denise Irwin, Cowley College creative director, was responsible for producing
the materials that won the awards.
"It is the environment of collaboration and exploration at Cowley that
allows me to be creative and produce the work I do,” Irwin said. “It
is wonderful to get affirmation from a national competition that the work
we produce at Cowley is top quality and stands up against universities
with much larger departments and budgets."
Over 2,100 entries were received from over 1,200 colleges, universities
and secondary schools. Entries were received from institutions in all 50
states and several foreign countries.
The annual Admissions Advertising Awards is the oldest and largest educational
advertising awards competition in the country. A national panel of judges
consisted of admissions marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing
and advertising professionals and the editorial board of Admissions Marketing
Report.
Silver awards went to 194 institutions, while 417 merit awards were presented.
