First annual Comedy Night a success

Playing to a crowd of more than 50 people, Cowley College’s first annual Comedy Night competition was a huge success. The evening was sponsored by Creative Claws, sponsor Marlys Cervantes, and Tyger Tawk, sponsor Tom Mason.

Winners for the evening were Travis Truax and Mathew Slovacek for sketch and Nate Newland for solo act.
“The evening was a success, a lot of fun for all involved,” says Cervantes. “Tom Mason and I are pleased with the turnout and, especially, the talent shown by Cowley students. More people were able to enjoy the funny ideas we hear and read in our classes.”
