Cowley College Singers/Jazz Band bring down the house

With the school year winding down, the Cowley College Singers and Cowley College Jazz Band put on quite a show Tuesday night in the Robert Brown Theatre.

Under the direction of vocal music director Connie Donatelli, members of the Cowley College Singers took the stage first and performed a medley of songs featuring hits from the Four Tops, The Righteous Brothers, The Supremes, Ray Charles and many more.

The Cowley College Jazz Combo followed with performances of Tour de Force, Autumn Leaves, and Blue Skies. The Jazz Band then gave its rendition of All’s Well in Wellington, Blue Bossa, Blues for Waldo, Footprints, and Moanin’. Instrumental music director Josh Fleig led the Jazz Band through its performance.

The CC Singers will perform one final time Thursday night during “Thursday Night Live” held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the Brown Theatre.

Members of the Cowley College Singers are: Will Brantley, Brady Flock, Joe Lauer, Chris Loftin, Shawn Ming, Kathy Moon, Sarah Richardson, Candace Scott, Alexie Smith, Anna Stevens, Chelsea Sona, Elisha Swope, Amanda Watson, and Zac Winter.

Members of the Cowley College Jazz Band are: Steven Davis, Wes McDonough, Angel Chavez, Matt Nelson, Richard Gould, Brian Massey, Kevin High, Travis Hayden, Tiffany Wright, Nathan Cottingham, Chris Loftin, Rich Abrams, Ben Byers, Chris Robinette, Derek Sexton, Dan Hasenbank, and Wes Bannon.
