Cowley to hold its own version of "SNL" during Thursday Night Live
Cowley College’s Act One Drama Club and the
Cowley College Singers are sponsoring Thursday Night Live at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday in the Robert Brown Theatre inside the Brown Center. Admission
is $2 for an evening of fun and laughter.
Students have been working on skits that are take-offs from the hit show “Saturday
night Live”, which is a two-time Emmy Award-winning weekly late-night
90-minute variety show based in New York City that has been broadcast
by NBC on Saturday nights since October 11, 1975.
“It’s always a fun night and an opportunity for our students to
strut their stuff,” said Cowley College director of theatre and theatrical
services Scott MacLaughlin.
Along with the skits there will be performances by the Cowley College
Singers. The money raised from the show will go towards the Act One Drama
Club and the Cowley College Singers.
