Cowley College serving up pizzas Wing Street style
Who says Friday the 13th is bad luck? Not the Cowley
College Tiger staff and faculty. On Friday, June 13th, Cowley
employees will work as servers at the Wing Street Pizza Hut in Arkansas
City from 4 p.m. to close. All tips and a portion of each dining room
order will be donated to Relay for Life fund for cancer. There will be
coaches, faculty, staff, and administrators working throughout the night,
and guests may also register for free door prizes while they are there.
Sue Saia, Vice President of Student Affairs at Cowley College contacted
Pizza Hut manager, Jeff Hettenbach earlier this year about partnering
for this event.
“We were wanting to do something which would not only generate some additional
donations for the Relay for Life, but also allow our staff and faculty to meet
and greet the public” said Saia. “We had done something similar
to this at my former school and it was a lot of fun as well as a positive event
which raises money for a great cause. We are looking forward to Friday and
encourage the public to come and eat at Wing Street that night.”
The Arkansas City Pizza Hut Wing Street is located at 422 North Summit.
