North Campus PTK takes part in Big Brothers/Big Sisters Bowl for Kids

PTK bowls for kidsMembers of Cowley College’s North Campus Phi Theta Kappa organization participated in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Bowl for Kids on Saturday night at Northrock Lanes in Wichita. The team raised $661, which added to a grand total of over $13,000 for the evening.

Members participating were Keoki Waipa, Casey Bing, Becky Johnson (who works for Big Brothers/Big Sisters), Kimberly Rubio and family, and sponsor, Nancy Ayers.

In 2008, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Sedgwick County raised nearly $584,000. Just over 6,000 kids are being served by the state of Kansas, but there are nearly 1,200 still on the waiting list for a Big Brother or a Big Sister.

If you have ever entertained the thought of becoming a Big Brother or a Big Sister for a child, today is the day to find out how rewarding this experience can be. Go to www.kansasbigs.org or call 1-888-KS4.BIGS for more information.
