Mulvane Career and Tech open house a success

Showcasing Cowley College’s Career and Technical Education Department’s automotive and welding programs, the Mulvane Chamber and Cowley College hosted an open house for students and parents Tuesday evening at the college’s facility located at the Marinus-Heersche Industrial Park in Mulvane.

Around 60 people took part in the open house.

“I was pleased with the turnout Tuesday evening as we not only had a large number of students and parents but also many faculty and staff from the college toured the facility,” said Bruce Crouse, Cowley department chair of the Career and Technical Education Department. “Interest from high schools remains high as a number of counselors and principals toured the facility and visited with instructors about our programs.”
