Cowley College to offer Wedding Planner Certification class
Cowley College in conjunction with The Wedding Planning Institute, a
division of Lovegevity, Inc. will be offering a Wedding Planner Certification
class this summer.
Students will gain experience and practice with application and utilization
of business tools, formulas and presentation methods in the day-to-day
of wedding planning and understand the role of a professional wedding
planner.
Course objectives include: Gaining a basic knowledge of the wedding industry;
create business contracts, pricing, packages and presentation tools;
understand the event planning process necessary to design and deliver
a successful wedding/social event; and understand the six stages of event
experiences and ways to implement them. Following the eight-week
course the student will be fully prepared to take on their first bridal
client.
The information is presented in a fast paced, enjoyable classroom atmosphere.
Group participation and interaction will be a part of the course and
students will have the opportunity to participate at real weddings during
the eight-week course.
The course will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, June 9 through
July 30. The time is 7 to 9:30 p.m. and classes will meet in the
Webb Brown Academic Center on the Arkansas City campus. The Wedding Planning
Institute, a division of Lovegevity, Inc. located in Roseville, CA will
provide the certificates of completion at the end of the course. Students
will receive two credit hours of course work through Cowley College.

and Information Technology. “More and more brides and grooms are seeking
the assistance of a wedding planner to handle the wedding details. They want
it done right. Having the chance to become certified at Cowley College in a
eight-week time frame is a great opportunity.”
