Cowley sponsors successful Kick Ash Bash

Cianin Kutil, a  freshman from Sallisaw, Okla., was the winner in one of the contests for  last week’s Kick Ash Bash at Cowley College. 

The day was filled with a variety of events for all students  designed to build awareness for smoking cessation.  Over 120 students (smokers and non-smokers alike) participated in the day’s events.   

Kutil won the “Grab a Butt” contest in which students were given a certain amount of time to pick up as many cigarette butts off of  the ground on campus.

Participating  students grabbed over 10,000 cigarette butts in less than 30 minutes. Kutil grabbed over 500 butts to win the event.
