Cowley College names N. Clark Williams new president
The Board of Trustees of Cowley College is pleased to announce that
N. Clark Williams has been selected
as President of Cowley College.
The Board's selection caps a four-month national process that began with
local focus groups. The Board of Trustees conducted interviews with six
semi-finalists and, in April, 2013, invited three finalists to the college.
The college was assisted in the search by John Steinecke of the Association
of Community College Trustees (ACCT).
Mr. N. Clark Williams currently serves as Vice President and the Chief
Operating Officer for Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton, Oregon.
Previously, Mr. Williams served as Chairman, President and CEO of DecisionWorks,
Inc. in Reston, VA.
Mr. Williams holds a Master of Science in Engineering
and Economic Systems from Stanford University in Stanford, CAm and a
Bachelor of Science from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis,
Mr. Williams will assume the post on July 8.
“His vast knowledge of the business world coupled with his experience
working in a community college setting uniquely qualifies him to lead this
college to the next level,” Board Chairman Ron Godsey said.
Godsey thanked members of the Board of Trustees along with John Steinecke
for their dedication and due diligence in completing the process in a
timely manner. He also praised the work of interim president Tony Crouch
and the college’s administrative team for keeping the college running
smoothly during the time of transition.
