A Cowley College girl’s basketball day camp will
be held June 12-14, and a girl’s summer basketball league will
be conducted June 5-28.
The day camp will be led by Cowley College head coach
Todd Clark and assistant coach Jeff Carter, who have teamed to compile
a record of 49-15 during their two years in charge of the Lady Tiger
program. They also guided the 2004-05 team to an undefeated conference
season.
The day camp is designed to help participants improve
their play at their position. The coaches will cover all of the physical
skills and moves needed, coupled with a tough mental approach to the
game.
Girls entering the sixth grade
through college freshmen are eligible to take part in the camp, which
will be held at Cowley’s
W.S. Scott Auditorium. The cost of the three-day camp is $50.
For more information, or to reserve a spot in the
camp, call (620) 441-5268 or (620) 441-5226.
The summer league will feature both a junior high
and high school league. All games will be played on Monday and Wednesday
nights at W.S. Scott Auditorium.
Each player is guaranteed eight games in league play,
and will receive a camp T-shirt. The cost is $50 per player.
