Former Tiger James Franklin makes the team at Kansas State

Serving as the starting point guard for the Cowley College men’s basketball team last season, former Tiger James Franklin was recently notified he made the team as a walk on at Kansas State University.

Franklin, a 6-foot guard, led Cowley in assists while averaging 5.4 points and 2.5 rebounds per game last season. He is a cousin of former Kansas State and Cincinnati guard Nick Williams.

The Wildcats open the 2006-07 season with an exhibition game against Washburn on Saturday. The regular season begins Nov. 11 against William & Mary.
