Watts, Cole named Co-Jayhawk Conference Players of the Week

Cowley College's Sanijay Watts and Ashley Cole were named the Men's and Women's Co-Jayhawks Conference Players of the Week for Feb. 6-13.

Watts had another big week for the Tigers. He averaged 26 points, 11 rebounds and four assists, including a career-high 32 points in an 87-60 win against Neosho County last Saturday night.
Watts is averaging 21.7 points per game in conference play and 16.6 points and 6.3 rebounds a game for the season.

This marks the third time, and second straight, this season the St. Louis freshman has earned the honor.

Cole, meanwhile, was Cowley's leading scorer in both of the Lady Tigers' victories last week. She scored 14 points in an easy 72-46 win at Kansas City last Wednesday. Cole followed up that performance with an 18-point performance on Saturday in Cowley's 62-24 rout of Neosho County.

For the season, Cole leads the Lady Tigers in scoring (13.0) in addition to 6.2 rebounds per game.
