Losing just one match in its home opening dual against
Bethel College played Thursday afternoon at the J.C. Louderback Tennis
Center, the No. 5-ranked Cowley College women’s tennis team improved
to 3-0 on the season.
Freshmen Maricel Quintero shined in a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles,
while the top two singles players, Juliana Franco and Monica Medina,
each won by scores of 6-2, 6-1.
The Lady Tigers will be back in action at 2 p.m. Monday when they host
Southwestern.

DOUBLES
•No. 1 doubles — Siwosz/Porizkova (CC) defeated Castle/Kehr (BC)
8-2.
•No. 2 doubles — McKee/Ardery (CC) defeated Robertson/Pugh (BC)
8-3.
•No. 3 doubles — Cowley won by default.

•No. 1 singles — Franco (CC) defeated Kehr (BC) 6-2, 6-1.
•No. 2 singles — Medina (CC) defeated Robertson (BC) 6-2, 6-1.
•No. 3 singles — Ardery (CC) lost to Castle (BC) 6-1, 6-2.
•No. 4 singles — Arnold (CC) defeated Pugh (BC) 6-2, 6-3.
