Lady Tiger tennis improves to
7-2
Getting dominating play from the top of
its lineup, the No. 5-ranked Cowley College women’s tennis team defeated Bethany College 6-3
Monday at the J.C. Louderback Tennis Center.
Kasia Siwosz, the No. 1-ranked junior college tennis player, and fifth-ranked
Hanane Toumi, did not lose a game in singles play. Siwosz then teamed
with Karolina Porizkova to win at No. 1 singles 8-0, while Toumi and
Juliana Franco won their No. 2 doubles match by a score of 8-2.
Porizkova and Franco also cruised to wins in singles play as Cowley
improved to 7-2 on the season. The Lady Tigers will be back in action
at 2 p.m. Friday when they play at Baker University.

•No. 2 — Toumi (CC) defeated Hinman (BC) 6-0, 6-0.
•No. 3 — Porizkova (CC) defeated Prier (BC) 6-1, 6-1.
•No. 4 — Franco (CC) defeated Morgan (BC) 6-0, 6-2.
•No. 5 — Medina (CC) lost to Shanda Killian (BC) 6-3, 1-6, 4-10.
•No. 6 — Ashley Arnold (CC) lost to Mannebach (BC) 2-6, 1-6.
