Back-to-back national champion baseball teams plan 10-year reunion

Members of Cowley College’s 1997 and 1998 baseball teams, which captured back-to-back Junior College World Series titles, will be back in Arkansas City Jan. 12 for a 10-year reunion.

The reunion will begin with a luncheon held in Cowley College’s Earle N. Wright Community Room at noon. The former players will then be introduced at halftime of the Tiger men’s basketball game vs. Coffeyville, which begins at 7 p.m.

The 1997 and 1998 Tiger baseball teams combined to win 107 games, while losing just 20. Members of those former squads interested in attending the reunion should contact Peggy Williams at (620) 441-7314.
