Hoping to raise $30,000 for Tiger
Booster Club Scholarships, Cowley College coaches, boosters, and staff
members took to the streets for the school’s annual Blitz Drive on Tuesday and easily surpassed
this year’s goal.
Tuesday’s pledges totaled nearly $44,000 for the TBC.
“I want to thank all the people that donated their time and money to
help us make this a successful Blitz Drive,” said Tom Saia. Cowley’s
director of athletics. “This kind of support is why we can bring in quality
student athletes that allow us to compete on the national level.”
The annual Blitz Drive has continued to raise more money in each of the
13 years that Saia has served as Cowley’s director of athletics.
“This is a credit to our athletic programs and the coaches,” Saia
said. “This was highly unexpected as far as the money we were able to
raise this year. We greatly exceeded our expectations.”
The Tiger Booster Club has six levels of membership that range from $100
to $2,500. TBC members are admitted free to all Tiger sporting events.
Anyone interested in becoming a Tiger Booster Club member can contact
the Cowley Athletic Department at 441-5589.
