Mugo, Cronin named KJCCC Runners of the Week

Winning their opening season races at the Allen County Invite held Aug. 24 in Iola, Cowley College’s Stanley Mugo and Ashley Cronin were recently named Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference men and women’s Runners of the Week.

Mugo won the Allen County invite with a time of 15:20, which was a huge improvement from his time at the meet as a freshman. This marks the second straight year Mugo won the meet.

Cronin, a returning NJCAA all-American, won her first college race at the Allen County invite with a time of 12:46.

The Tiger cross country teams will be back in action Friday when they compete at the Friends University Invitational held in Goddard.
