Fresh
off having eight players receive all-conference recognition, the Cowley
College softball team had six players named All-Region VI performers
on Tuesday.

Freshman pitcher Jacey Juden, freshman catcher Kashilia Young, freshman
third baseman Breayle Tackett, and sophomore outfielder Colby Hart were
each named first-team all-region, while freshman second baseman Sara
Smith and sophomore outfielder Danielle Saylor-Perkins earned second-team
honors.
“I thought it was good representation considering the season we had,” Cowley
head coach Ed Hargrove said. “With four freshman that will be submitted
for All-American, we have a pretty good group to build around.”
The players helped Cowley capture its fifth straight Jayhawk Conference
Eastern Division title as the Lady Tigers finished the season with a
record of 42-10 overall and 17-1 in the Jayhawk East.
Voting was conducted by coaches in Region VI.
