Butler places fourth in decathlon

Serving as Cowley College’s lone competitor at the Tiger Decathlon/Heptathlon held Tuesday at the Tiger Track and Field Complex, Mark Butler placed fourth with 5,395 points.

Butler’s performance in the decathlon ranks him sixth in the country.

“He did really well with it being the first decathlon he has competed in,” Cowley head coach Mark Phillips said.

Cowley athletes that did not qualify to compete at the KU Relays on Thursday will take part in the Tabor Invite today.
